OCSC Player Grades vs. LA Galaxy II

Patrick Rakovsky – A+: Rakovsky had a stellar performance in goal, achieving his second clean sheet of the season. He had three saves in total, his most crucial save coming in the 72nd minute when he denied midfielder Michael Salazar from equalizing the match for Galaxy II. Rakovsky also had a clearance and a passing accuracy of 63.2 percent from goal. 

Michael Orozco – A: Orozco completed the match with a passing accuracy of 89.7 percent and two clearances. The captain had a strong performance in defense, taking control of the backline to see through the victory. Orozco cleared the ball from danger after Rakovsky’s save in the 21st minute on Galaxy II forward Preston Judd’s shot attempt.

Albi Skendi – B+: Skendi completed the match with a passing accuracy of 76.7 percent, a tackle, and a clearance. In the ninth minute, Skendi intercepted the ball from Galaxy II forward Preston Judd and cleared it away from danger. Skendi received a yellow card for a strong foul on Galaxy II midfielder Rémi Cabral in the 26th minute.

Alex Villanueva – A: Villanueva had a fantastic performance in his natural left-back position. He completed the match with a passing accuracy of 82.5 percent, two chances created, a tackle, and a clearance. Villanueva almost scored in the second half after a beautiful give-and-go with Milan Iloski set him up in the box, but Galaxy II goalkeeper Richard Sánchez saved his shot.

Ian Hoffman – B+: Hoffman completed the match with a passing accuracy of 80 percent, three tackles, two chances created, and a clearance. In the first half, he centered a ball into the box that Milan Iloski couldn’t convert with his head. Hoffman received a yellow card for a strong intervention on Galaxy II midfielder Rémi Cabral.

Dillon Powers – B: Powers completed the match with a passing accuracy of 87.5 percent, a chance created, and a clearance. Powers had a shot attempt from outside of the box that rattled the post in the 79th minute. Powers received a yellow card for an aggressive slide tackle on Galaxy II midfielder Adrián González.

Kyle Scott – B+: Scott had a passing accuracy of 91.7 percent, two tackles, one chance created, and a shot on target. He performed well in link-up play, creating opportunities for the OCSC attackers. He received a yellow card in the 16th minute when he fouled Galaxy II defender Joshua Drack. Scott came off the pitch for Korede Osundina in the 67th minute.

Daniel A. Pedersen – B: Pedersen finished with a passing accuracy of 76 percent, three clearances, a tackle, and a chance created. He cleared the ball off the goal line after Galaxy II midfielder Michael Salazar’s shot attempt went through Rakovsky’s legs in the 12th minute. Pedersen came off the pitch for Seth Casiple in the 63rd minute. 

Kevin Partida – B: Partida had a passing accuracy of 77.3 percent, two tackles, a chance created, and a clearance. He played well in front of the defense, intercepting balls and funneling them forward for the OCSC attack. Partida came off the pitch for Brian Iloski due to an injury in the 84th minute. 

Erick “Cubo” Torres – C: Torres had a passing accuracy of 80 percent and a tackle. He couldn’t quite find his footing in this game, struggling to create chances on goal. Torres came off the pitch for Sean “Ugo” Okoli at halftime. 

Milan Iloski – A: Iloski scored the match-winner in the 68th minute after picking up the rebound from Sean “Ugo” Okoli’s shot attempt. Iloski completed the match with a passing accuracy of 74.2 percent, four shots on target, and two chances created. Iloski received a yellow card for a hard foul from behind on Galaxy II midfielder Adrián González.  

Substitutes: 

Sean “Ugo” Okoli – A-: He came on the pitch for Erick “Cubo” Torres at halftime. Okoli provided immediate support for the OCSC attack, invigorating the squad as they looked for a match-winner. Okoli completed the match with a passing accuracy of 77.8 percent, a chance created, and a shot on target. 

Seth Casiple – B-: He came on the pitch for Daniel A. Pedersen in the 63rd minute. Casiple completed the match with a passing accuracy of 88.2 percent. He surpassed 10,000 minutes played in the USL Championship after coming on the pitch in the 63rd minute.  

Korede Osundina – B: He came on the pitch for Kyle Scott in the 67th minute. Osundina completed the match with a passing accuracy of 100 percent, one shot on target, and one tackle.  

Brian Iloski – N/A: He came on the pitch for the injured Kevin Partida in the 84th minute. He did not play enough minutes to receive a grade.
