North Carolina FC settled for a scoreless 0-0 draw against Richmond Kickers on Saturday night in the two team’s final regular season meeting. Both teams battled at City Stadium in hopes to find a crucial goal in an attempt to find three points, but neither side could take advantage of its chances.

NCFC midfielder Aziel Jackson came close to opening in the 17th minute after Robbie Kristo laid the ball off following a great team counter attack.

Only a few minutes later, Jackson completed a one-two with Britton Fischer and found himself in front of goal at a difficult angle. Jackson was not able to slip the ball past the Richmond Kickers keeper Akira Fitzgerald.

In the 28th minute, Richmond Kickers striker Emiliano Terzaghi attempted an acrobatic one-time volley, but his shot fizzed wide of the near post.

Terzaghi nearly gave the Kickers a great start to the second half in the 63rd minute as he launched a spectacular long-range effort that barely sailed over the crossbar.

Robbie Kristo almost gave NCFC a stunning late winner with a flick on header in the 94th minute that Fitzgerald met with a strong left hand to secure a draw.
