Black & Gold Report
LAFC have gotten off their worst start in franchise history with only five points from four games. To top it off, their previous game was a loss to cross-town rivals, Los Angeles Galaxy.
Their slow start can be attributed to Carlos Vela’s injury sustained in the first match. They have been able to score at least once in every game without Vela, but the offense still isn’t doing enough. They will need a heroic effort to defeat a Seattle team that is riding a huge high.
LAFC Team News
Carlos Vela remains a doubt with his hamstring injury. Expect Opoku to continue filling in for him on the right side of attack.
Erik Duenas and Mohamed Traore are both expected to miss the game as well.
LAFC Recent Form: W/D/D/L
LAFC Predicted Lineup: Sisniega (GK) (C); Palacios, Segura, Murillo, Blackmon; Atuesta, Blessing, Kaye; Opoku, Musovski, Baird
Rave Green Report
The Sounders are currently the best team in Major League Soccer with an unbeaten record. They have the strongest offense and the strongest defense. Seattle lost important defensive players in the offseason, but Yeimar Gomez, Shane O’Neill and Nouhou Tolo have formed a solid back three. The Sounders have yet to allow a goal at home. It’s still very early in the playoffs, but they look like they could be on their way back to the MLS Cup Playoffs.
Seattle Sounders Team News
Fredy Montero and Raul Ruidiaz have been an offensive spark this season and will hope to continue against LAFC.
Seattle has no notable injuries.
